Content owners โ takedown requests
MindEat lets people import recipes from a URL into their own private library. Some of those recipes also appear in the in-app discovery feed, always with the source name and a link to it, and always with an image we generated ourselves โ never your photograph.
If you hold the rights to a recipe that appears with us and you would rather it did not โ email us and we will remove it. No legal process is needed. To let us act quickly, please include:
- the URL of your original page
- the recipe title as it appears in MindEat, if you know it
- confirmation that you are the rights holder or act on their behalf
We will remove the item from the public feed and block re-publication from that URL. Private copies users already saved are not removed automatically โ those are personal copies, like a bookmark or a printout.
Our bot
When a user asks to import a recipe from a URL, MindEat reads that one page to pull out its ingredients and steps. We do not crawl sites, do not follow links, and do not build a database of content. Full details: mindeat.app/bot.
