1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using MindEat, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.
2. Description of Service
MindEat is a grocery management app developed by Nadav Fisch. The app provides the following features:
- Shopping list creation and management
- Recipe storage, creation, and import
- Home inventory tracking
- Meal planning and event scheduling
- Price comparison for Israeli supermarkets
- AI assistant for recipe suggestions and smart features
- Expense tracking and budget management
3. Account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password.
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
- One account per person โ you may not create accounts on behalf of others without authorization.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use MindEat to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Attempt to access, interfere with, or damage other users' data or accounts
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app
- Upload or transmit malicious content, viruses, or harmful code
- Use the AI assistant for harmful, abusive, or illegal purposes
- Attempt to overload or disrupt the service
- Impersonate any person or entity
5. Price Comparison Disclaimer
Price comparison data is provided for informational purposes only. Prices are sourced from publicly available data published by Israeli supermarket chains. Actual prices at the time of purchase may vary. MindEat does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of pricing data.
6. AI Assistant Disclaimer
The AI assistant provides suggestions and information that may not always be accurate. Do not rely on AI-generated content for medical, nutritional, or allergy advice. Always verify important information independently. MindEat is not liable for decisions made based on AI assistant output.
7. Intellectual Property
- MindEat and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by the developer and protected by intellectual property laws.
- User-generated content (your lists, recipes, notes, and other data you create) remains yours.
- By using the app, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content in order to provide the service to you. Where content appears in community areas of the app (such as the Discover feed), this license also covers displaying it to other users โ always with an AI-generated cover image rather than any original photo, and with source attribution where applicable.
- Imported content: When you import a recipe from a website or social media link, the imported copy is stored in your private library for your personal, non-commercial use. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of imported content respects the rights of its creators. Original photos and videos from imported sources are never displayed publicly by MindEat.
- Copyright complaints: If you believe content displayed in MindEat's community areas infringes your rights, contact us at app.mindeat@gmail.com with a link to the content and a description of your claim. We review such reports and remove infringing content promptly.
- You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works based on MindEat without permission.
8. Limitation of Liability
MindEat is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
- We are not liable for inaccurate price comparison data or decisions made based on such data.
- We are not liable for any AI assistant suggestions or their consequences.
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the past 12 months.
9. Subscriptions & Payments
- Some features may require a paid subscription (MindEat Pro).
- Subscriptions are managed through the app store you purchased from โ Apple's App Store, or Google Play where available โ and are subject to that store's terms.
- Refunds are handled by the store you purchased from, per its refund policy โ contact Apple Support or Google Play support for refund requests.
- We reserve the right to change subscription prices with reasonable notice.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- Fair use. MindEat Pro removes the free plan's usage limits for normal personal use. It is not an unlimited compute entitlement: we apply reasonable per-hour ceilings to AI features (recipe import, photo recognition, nutrition estimates and the assistant) to protect the service from automated or abusive use. These ceilings are set well above any realistic human rate, and a normal user will not encounter them. If you do, the feature becomes available again shortly.
- We may adjust these ceilings, and the composition of the free and Pro plans, where necessary to keep the service sustainable. Changes that reduce what an active subscription includes will be announced in advance, and will not apply to the term you have already paid for.
- A subscription is for one MindEat account and may not be shared.
10. Termination
- We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms, with or without notice.
- You may delete your account at any time via Settings โ Account โ Delete Account.
- Upon termination, your right to use MindEat ceases immediately.
11. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Israel.
